Wolfgang Bayer is one of the world's foremost wildlife cinematographers. He has been producing, directing and filming wildlife conservation films for more than 25 years. His credits as producer, director and cinematographer include:

Trained as an electrical engineer in Austria, Bayer got his start there developing underwater filming techniques. After coming to the United States, he produced a half-hour documentary on Yellowstone which was then distributed by LA-based Bill Burrud Productions. He joined Burrud and rose to Executive VP of the company in six years. Later, he struck out on his own, forming Wolfgang Bayer Productions.
In 1973, he relocated to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
